Puerto de la Cruz opens the case at the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Peña de Francia, a few steps from Plaza del Charco. The route works through the old streets around the square and then out along the coast towards Lago Martiánez. It is a self-guided murder mystery game, and the town does the work of a crime scene.

The centre of Puerto de la Cruz is flat and close to the sea, so the walking is easy and the sea breeze does most of the cooling. Families with children, groups of friends, couples and colleagues can all take it on, and a solo player has no disadvantage. One ticket covers a team of up to four people around a single phone; larger groups buy more tickets and split up. No guide leads the group, and you choose your own starting moment.
